One of the development trends of virtual simulation experiment teaching is the combination of virtual simulation and physical object. Designers can use CAD/CAE simulation to get better optimization schemes, so that students can more intuitively learn simulation content; Or by the high-performance computing, to validate the existing experimental phenomena, realize the prediction of unknown material properties, achieve the design of advanced materials system performance, and speed up the research and innovation process.


Utilizing virtual simulation resources and high-performance servers, the virtual simulation teaching experiment platform created a “material science maker space” and build a student activity room. Through the establishment of undergraduate exploration projects, students can participate in extracurricular activities such as the Challenge Cup and Materials Science Knowledge Competition, which could stimulate students' creativity and enthusiasm for learning, enhance students' independent innovation ability and ultimately achieve the goal of cultivating innovative and comprehensive top talents in the field of materials science.
